I have been using wood tools since I was a child. These are the weapons of my trade; the instruments with which I create my art. Just like in the world of music, there is passion for the best instruments and the joy of attaining ever-growing skill in using them. Not only has my lifetime of experience given me a close familiarity with these tools, it has also allowed me to develop a deep respect for the old, traditional Japanese carpenters ("miyadaiku").
